Welcome To

St Andrew's Skipton

About Us
St Andrew’s is a local ecumenical project between the Methodist and United Reformed Churches.

INCLUSIVE MARRIAGE

St Andrew’s Methodist and United Reformed Church has registered as a building where same-sex marriages can take place. This follows decisions made last year by the Methodist Church and in 2016 by the United Reformed Church, that same-sex marriages could take place in their churches.

Church minister Rev Andrew Webb commented ‘I am delighted that this church has taken this step of recognising the inclusive nature of God’s love and the importance of making all feel welcome. Getting to this stage has been a long and challenging process for our national denominations. I have, however, been impressed with the grace and understanding shown in the conversations held in our churches. We also continue to value and respect those churches who feel it is not right to take this step at this time.’

Our Eco Group have been working hard over the past year and are delighted to have been awarded the Bronze Eco Church Award.
